These Thanksgiving Green Beans are a flavorful side dish featuring tender, charred green beans sautéed in savory bacon fat and seasoned with garlic, cracked black pepper, and Johnny's seasoning salt. Crispy bacon adds a smoky crunch, making this a crowd-pleasing addition to your holiday table.
Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 6-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels, leaving 2 tablespoons of fat in the skillet.
Rinse trimmed green beans in a colander, retaining some moisture. Add them to the hot skillet and toss to coat in bacon fat. Cover and sauté for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until charred and just tender.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Return the bacon to the skillet and heat through for another minute.
Remove from heat, add cracked black pepper, and toss to combine. Add Johnny's seasoning salt to taste. Serve warm and enjoy!
