Ingredients

1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch thick strips
⅓ cup cornstarch
¼ cup canola oil
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
4 tablespoons garlic, minced
Red pepper flakes or a dash of chili oil (optional, for extra heat)
⅓ cup Johnny’s Jamaica Me Sweet Hot & Crazy Sauce
¼ cup water
8 scallions (green parts only), cut into 2-inch pieces

Directions

Slice steak into ¼-inch strips, pound lightly to tenderize, then toss in a zip-top bag with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Heat canola oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steak in batches for 30 seconds per side, then remove and set aside. Sprinkle with salt.
In the same pan, sauté ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes or chili oil for 10–15 seconds.
Add ½ cup Johnny’s Jamaica Me Sweet Hot & Crazy Sauce and ¼ cup water. Bring to a simmer.
Return steak to the pan, stir to coat, and let the sauce thicken for about 30 seconds.
Turn off heat, stir in green onions, and serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
