Ingredients

2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter)

Directions

Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook 3–4 minutes until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add Johnny’s Salad & Pasta Elegance, sugar (if using), salt, and pepper. Let the soup simmer for 5–7 minutes so flavors blend.
Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let simmer another 2–3 minutes until silky and smooth.
