Au Jus Mushroom Rice

Ingredients

¼ cup butter
½ lb sliced mushrooms
1½ cups long grain rice, uncooked
3½ cups beef broth
2 Tbsp dried minced onion
1 (1-oz) package of Johnny's Au Jus Mix
½ tsp oregano
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
Add mushrooms and rice, stirring frequently, and cook until the rice turns golden, about 5 minutes.
Pour in the remaining ingredients and stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed all the liquid. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
