Sloppy Joe Sliders



  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup seeded and diced green bell pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tspJohnny’s Parmesan Garlic Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper, or to taste (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Johnny’s Seasoned Pepper
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter


  1. In a 10″ to 12″ skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onions, and bell pepper until no pink remains.
  2. Drain off as much grease from the pan as possible and return the skillet to the heat.
  3. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, worcestershire, mustard, brown sugar, cumin, Johnny’s Parmesan Garlic Seasoning, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper, and Johnny’s Seasoned Pepper. Stir well to combine and reduce heat to low.
  4. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Separate the slider buns and slice in half.
  6. Place bottom half of buns in a 13″ x 9″ baking dish.
  7. Spoon some of the Sloppy Joe mixture on to each bun and then sprinkle each one with shredded cheese.
  8. Place top half of the bun over the cheese. Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes, or until buns are lightly toasted and cheese has melted.
