Cedar Plank Atlantic Salmon


2 pounds Atlantic Salmon fillet, skin on
1 cedar plank, soaked in water 30 minutes
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon “Johnny’s Salmon Seasoning”


  1. Preheat a gas grill to high; adjust to medium low after 15 minutes. (If cooking over charcoal, allow the coals to burn until they are ashy white and good and hot.
  2. Place the salmon skin-side down on the cedar plank.
  3. Combine the brown sugar, oil, and Johnny’s Salmon seasoning in a bowl. Spread over the salmon.
  4. Place the planked salmon on the grilling grate and cook, with grill covered, about 40 minutes or if unsure gently lift fish and crack it, it should appear slightly opaque.
